The other day, as I was endlessly scrolling through Youtube, I found a clip of this man showing his wife a unique calendar. I have no idea what enticed me to click the thumbnail, but I did, and here I was. I found this calendar that had printed every week of this man’s life from birth to the average age of death, which sat at 88.

He had just turned 42, which left nearly half of the calendar marked. The wife’s immediate reaction was to exclaim that it was quite morbid.

I initially agreed but began to reflect on how exactly this might actually entice someone to really squeeze the juice out of life.

After some reflection, I realized that I have not fully taken advantage of all the extraordinary opportunities life has offered me. I tend to assume that there will always be a next.

We live with the reality that one day, all we know and care for will be gone. Make your time here worth living, so the day you close your eyes for the last time, you rest in the fact that you lived a life worth living.

Go talk to that cute person at the coffee shop.

Love and be loved.

Really take in the moments when you and your friends are together.

Live while you still can.
